I was so impressed with how well built the Phantom 4 backpack is! I know it will never let me down when out on a job either in the city or on the mountain top! Great work !

Performs every function as described on the website. Strong, roomy and practical. The only criticism I would present is that I find it overly bulky, particularly for plane travel. Some of the extra pockets and buckles could be done without. MRW on 3rd Aug 2017
Fantastic quality and build to the bag. Everything fits in perfectly. Plenty of pockets, zips, slots to put your personal belongings in when you head droning. Highly recommend! Much better than the original packaging as you're quite conscious to take a chunk out of the polystyrene. Gurj on 22nd May 2017
This bag is perfect in every way! It perfectly cradles my P4P, remote, props, iPad Pro 9.7, multiple batteries, charging cables, etc. and has multiple zippered pockets that can hold a ton of extras. The bag has a military style and is very lightweight and durable. I love the fact that I can remove the belly belt and have just the shoulder straps on the bag. This gives it a much cleaner look and is great to simply throw over one shoulder. This bag has everything you can think of for a drone storage bag, and will allow you to carry other essentials for a day hike. I believe the drone foam cut-out can be removed so that you can use the bag as a standard military backpack. Definitely worth every penny! Scarbo on 9th May 2017
I've only had two difficulties with this backpack. First, getting the main flap unzipped far enough to easily get the controller out. Second, figuring out what all to put in its abundance of compartments. I'm not sure but I think I can get everything I carry in my day to day backpack in this bag with all my drone stuff and some water. The bidirectional zippers on the main compartment are nice as is the removable waist belt. Unknown on 1st May 2017
This bag has worked for me so far. It holds everything, spare parts, batteries, chargers and what ever else I want to put in there. I would actually perfer something a little smaller. Quality of the fabric and zippers seems very good. This bag is a beast. I use this bag while riding dirt bikes in the desert and it has helps up well. Unknown on 13th Mar 2017
I first thought that this backpack wasn't really going to be necessary because I really liked the little foamy case that comes with the P4. I then gave the Phantom a go in the new Drone Crates bag and it never left its new home.
I love all the extra pockets and compartments. If I'm on a job to shoot aerials, I'll bring this bag and nothing else. Before I would have to bring the DJI grey case AND make sure to bring another case with all the accessories that wouldn't fit in the first one. The Drone Crates bag allows me to bring absolutely everything I need for a day of aerial shooting. Including snacks, water, laptop!! The padding and waist belt are comfy and well designed so the bag never hurts your back. Even comes with little motor protectors which I find very useful and give me extra peace of mind.
I've also taken this thing on a 3hr mountain bike ride and I never felt the weight of the drone , the four batteries, the controller, the water, the snacks and all the other accessories that were in there. 3 hours and it felt just like my other small 2L camelbak!
This backpack is just ULTRA CONVENIENT and USEFUL. Hugo on 24th Feb 2017
I spent hours upon hours researching different backpacks, looking at constructions, storage layouts, storage space, number of pockets, type of pockets, storage type (foam insert or soft compartments), straps, cushioning and finally - overall appearance. Price was a secondary factor, however, i would not have "paid anything" so it entered into the decision process as well.
Clearly i chose the Drone Crates back pack. It was out of stock and they were creating the new insert to fit the P4P+ so i was happy to wait. I was accurately informed as to the shipping date and when to expect my item. It was shipped promptly and communication with the company was always good.
Once received i started looking over the backpack, checking out the pockets, seeing where i would put my stuff. Lots and lots of pockets, plenty of space to put the "extra" things we all accumulate. The drone sat very snug in its space, as did the remote and the props. One of the main reasons i looked at this bag was the extra battery spaces. I have 6 batteries and so this was perfect. I dont always head out to close locations with 6 batteries fully charged so i could have easily compromised, however, when i travel distances i will definitely take all of my batteries so i need the space.
I dont use a tablet / iPad so the tablet section is perfect for some documents / notes you want to keep handy. The prop motor guards are essential and they provide them with the bag. Zippers seem durable and the overall workmanship gives you confidence the bag wont fall apart after a few months of use.
Soft Compartments Vs Foam Insert. For me, i things to sit firmly and snugly, i dont like things moving around or pushing on other items because they are heavier and shift during transit. The foam insert allows for specific compartments for the essential items we all have, no movement results in no damage to the drone, prop motors, remote and of course the gimbal / camera. There were a couple fo bags that had soft compartments i was considering, but each time the idea of a foam insert won me over. Now that i have it, i am relieved that i chose this bag.
I am yet to travel with this bag, but from the other reviews i have read i cant foresee any issues. To date, i can definitely recommend this bag and suggest that if you are on the fence as to which type of bag to choose, consider carefully the foam insert vs soft compartments and look at all the space, storage options this bag provides.Durability is a factor and of course reasonable price.
This is an excellent bag for storing and transporting your investment. I made the right choice. Tony Kovacs on 6th Feb 2017
So I took this guy with me to drag my Phantom 4 around South America for the past month, and I've got to say I do love the storage space. I would actually worry more about exceeding the weight limit on this as my carry-on (yes, it works as a carry-on- no issues throughout eight different airlines with whom I flew). The weight distribution can make it feel a little wonky, as most of the storage is obviously located toward the bottom, but the chest and waist buckles help with that. I will say that the bottom zip-open pouch will indeed fit the standard case for the Osmo+, which works out well considering I decided to leave my Drone Crates Osmo hard case at home. The side pouches easily carried the P4 charger, my Osmo Z-axis, extender arm, and tripod as well as the Osmo battery charger. Ultimately I will be using this as my go-to bag for the Phantom, but next time for travel I will probably invest in something hard-shelled with wheels so I can check it should need-be. I did hours upon hours of research and finally made the decision to purchase the DroneCrates DJI Phantom 4 Pro Backpack(asked for it as a gift for Christmas from my folks). I enjoyed it so much that I actually did a Review video on it and posted it to YouTube. I was that impressed with it. I am looking forward to getting much much use out of it over the coming years. I have nothing but great things to say about how your Customer Service reached out to my mother and helped to ensure that it arrived in time for the holiday. Thank you DroneCrates! ~ JM
