Today DJI Introduced the next evolution in its Phantom series: The Phantom 4
The new DJI Phantom 4 offers a verity of features that have been requested by pilots such as sense and avoid and active tracking. Below are a list of new features:
-Newly designed shell - uses a magnesium core for added strength without adding weight, as well as moves the battery more to the center for increased agility.
-New flight modes (Sport Mode, Tap & Fly and Visual Tracking)
-New Larger Battery - new battery allows for 28 minutes of flight time (5350 mAh)
-Active Track - The Phantom 4 will recognize and follow a subject simply by circling them in the app. This can be combined with modes like Point Of Interest to get moving circling shots with ease.
-Tap & Fly - Flying through trees? tap on the openings and the Phantom 4 will navigate through them with ease all while using the sense and avoid technology to avoid near by branches.
-Sense & Avoid - The phantom 4 is now equipped with front facing and under facing sensors to avoid obstacles in its path. The DJI Phantom 4 will stop and redirect its self around obstacles.
-Camera has been upgraded with new lens for better image quality
-The Phantom 4 now offers a verity of filming modes including:
UHD: 4096×2160 (4K) 24 / 25p
3840×2160 (4K) 24 / 25 / 30p
2704×1520 (2.7K) 24 / 25 / 30p
FHD: 1920×1080 24 / 25 / 30 / 48 / 50 / 60 / 120p
HD: 1280×720 24 / 25 / 30 / 48 / 50 / 60p
-D-Log & Cine-D Profiles now offer greater post production support
-12 Megapixel still images with Adobe DNG Raw support
-Updated gimbal with dual arm support for better image stabilization
-New Push & Release Props
-Dual Compass modules and IMUs for built in redundancies
